The 3 First Tier Jailers

Jailers info and maps. Temperance-1
Jailer of Temperance

Pops 3-5 seconds after killing the Eo'zdei placeholders that spawn in the small rooms with alcoves in H-4, C-8, L-8, J-13, and F-13 of the ground level of Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi.
• Immune to direct magic damage (i.e. nukes).
o However, DoT is very effective. Keep Bio II, Poison II/Disseverment poison and Shock/Choke/Burn or Rasp/Drown/Frost on at all times.
o Mijin Gakure does damage the Jailer.
• Immune to all but one type of physical damage at a time. Because of this, damage dealers with multiple damage types are very useful for this fight.
o With rings out, only vulnerable to Slashing damage.
o With poles out, only vulnerable to Piercing damage.
o With nothing out, only vulnerable to Blunt damage.
• The Corsair ability Quick Draw circumvents these damage mechanics, and will deal normal damage.
o Tomahawk (Ability) allows all physical damage types to hurt the Jailer.
• Like other Zdei, its TP moves depend on whether it has rings out, poles out, or nothing out.
o Most dangerous in Blunt mode, when it can use Meikyo Shisui+Optical Induration to petrify most of the alliance.
• Uses Meikyo Shisui multiple times.
• Susceptible to Gravity and Flash, immune to Blind, Slow, Paralyze, Elegy, Stun, Bind and Requiem.
• Moves very fast. About 1 1/2 times the speed of normal running players.
• It will depop if it remains idle for 2 minutes.
• Temperance Axe and First Virtue drop 100% of the time.

Jailers info and maps. Jailer_of_Fortitude
Jailer of Fortitude

Popped by trading 12 Ghrah M Chips to a ??? that pops in the five towers, located in the small room on the outside perimeter of the ground floor map. The ??? does not move around.
• The Jailer of Fortitude pops in humanoid form and does not change into any other Ghrah form.
• The Jailer can use Invincible several times, and use the WS Vorpal Blade.
• The Jailer is highly resistant to all forms of physical damage except ranged attacks. Magic damage is preferable (see below).
• The Jailer has 2 assistants, Kf'ghrahs.
o When they are alive, the Jailer of Fortitude can instantly mimic any magic spells cast against it back to the person who cast them. Mimic is not 100% but it is very close to 100%. Many people mistakenly refer to this as a "Reflect" effect as per traditional FF games; however, unlike "Reflect," spells will still take effect against Fortitude assuming he is not immune to the effect.
o One Kf'ghrah casts only light spells and the other casts only dark spells, but they both have the same appearance.
o The Kf'ghrahs pop in ball form and can change to other normal Ghrah forms, excluding humanoid. They normally change close together, but are not always the same form.
o Immediately after changing form, the Kf'ghrahs will assist the Jailer of Fortitude, but regardless of their form hate can be pulled off of the initial target. They do not seem to follow standard hate rules though, sometimes changing targets when you would not expect them to, or sticking on a target when hate would normally have shifted.
o They take normal damage from physical attacks.
o It is not possible to Call for Help on the 2 ball helpers.
• The Jailer and its assistants can all be affected by Shadowbind, the Jailer's assistants are also affected by Gravity, however the Jailer is immune.
• A common strategy is to have tanks kite the Jailer through the whole fight while the rest of the alliance kills the Kf'ghrahs and then nukes down the Jailer.

Jailers info and maps. Jailer_of_Faith
Jailer of Faith

It pops when 1 High-Quality Euvhi Organ is traded to a "???" on the 2nd floor of one of the towers. The "???" appears in the small room with the Aw'euvhi on the side of the tower facing the center of the map. The "???" depops every 30 minutes, repopping 60 seconds later randomly at one of the five towers (can also repop in the same tower). \
o When Jailer of Faith is defeated, the "???" repops after 15 minutes in one of the five towers at random. It can repop in the same tower where the jailer was spawned.
• It casts Slowga, Breakga (15' radius) (does not hit members outside of the Alliance) Stonega III, Stone IV. It also uses Manafont and gains the ability to cast Quake II while manafont is up. It uses normal Euvhi TP attacks. Axial Bloom, Stupor Spores, and Breakga are particularly dangerous when followed by Stonega III.
• Immune to Stun, Slow and Elegy; susceptible to Gravity.
• Usually fought by kiting with Gravity.
• Garuda takes very little damage from this NM so may be of use.
• Faith Torque drops ~10% of the time.

The 3 Second Tier Jailers

Jailers info and maps. Justice-1
Jailer of Justice

Spawned at the "???" at F-11 by trading Second Virtue, Deed of Moderation, and HQ Xzomit Organ.
• It can summon up to 6 Qn'xzomits.
o Like normal Xzomits, they move at Flee speed.
o They have 2,000~ HP and use Mijin Gakure not too long after being attacked. This is reminiscent of Bomb Queen's Self-Destructing helpers.
o The Jailer of Justice summons them one at a time, but summons often.
• The Jailer can charm people for long periods of time--multiple minutes.
• The Jailer itself seems rather weak and not too special, but its helpers seem to give people the most trouble.
• Repop on ??? is 15 minutes.

Jailers info and maps. Jailer_of_Hope
Jailer of Hope

Popped by trading First Virtue, Deed of Placidity and HQ Phuabo Organ to a ??? at D-9.
• Uses all Phuabo abilities.
o Seems to favor Aerial Collision over other Phuabo abilities.
• May use Mighty Strikes multiple times.
• If Jailer of Hope uses the Phuabo ability Plasma Charge, he shortly gains the ability to instantly cast Burst II and Thundaga III. Plasma Charge can be dispelled, although the ability to cast the spells can not. Taking measures to avoid these spells is highly recommended (Shadowbind works very well).
• Melee attacks have the effect of Stun

Jailers info and maps. Prudence-1
Jailer of Prudence

It pops from the "???" at (L-Cool when Third Virtue, Deed of Sensibility, and High-Quality Hpemde Organ are traded. Note that 2 NMs named Jailer of Prudence pop at the same time.
• To obtain drops, both Jailer of Prudences need to be defeated. The first one never drops any items. The second one is always the one to drop items.
• If both versions die at the same time in "closed-mouth" form, it is possible for them to drop nothing at all.
• Each one disappears (becomes untargetable and invisible) when hate shifts to a player outside its melee radius, and reappears next to the person at the top of its hate list.
• Both of them can and will Triple Attack frequently.
• Both can use Perfect Dodge multiple times, and will do so almost incessantly. Melees are ineffective, unless they use Spirits Within or Chi Blast on this Jailer for this reason. On average every 10% health lost Prudence uses Perfect Dodge.
• The pair uses normal Hpemde abilities. When they are in close proximity, the two will use these abilities in sync.
• They do not have increased movement speed over normal Hpemde, and they "swim" in the same fashion, so kiting one image around the island southwest of the spawn point while the other one is manaburned near the spawn area is a preferred tactic.
• Jailer of Prudence will however gain Flee speed during Perfect Dodge. He will also occasionally (always?) have Flee speed when popped.
• Once the first "copy" of Jailer of Prudence is defeated, the second one will go into the Hpemde family's characteristic "open-mouth" form. In this form its defenses are reduced, but its melee attacks are extremely potent. A common strategy is to kite the second copy until the alliance is prepared to engage it, and then defeat it as fast as possible with high-damage spells and ranged attacks.
• There used to be problems with this NM including one or both becoming untargetable but still attacking people; and one becoming both untargetable and invisible, but not despawning. It was possible to bring other enemies near the Jailer and defeat it with AoE spells. (Note: These issues were addressed as of the February 2006 update.)

The Third Tier Jailer

Jailers info and maps. Jol-1
• Jailer of Love

Popped by trading Fourth Virtue, Fifth Virtue and Sixth Virtue to a ??? at K-12.
• Extremely high HP and Auto Regen (200-250 HP/tick)
• Has a TP move called "Flourescence" that grants it a Boost ability. Can be Dispelled.
o Aura Steal can also remove or absorb the effect.
• It is possible for a tank to stand at the edge of the large circular hood, so that the Jailer does not melee him.
• Shield Bash and Chaotic Strike can interrupt its casting.
o Shield Bash has a high rate to cancel its casting.
• Summons Qn'xzomit, Qn'hpemde and Ru'phuabo helpers approximately every 2.5 minutes.
o Each time it summons 3 copies of one type of helper which engage the person with hate.
o After summoning three sets each of Qn'xzomit, Qn'hpemde, and Ru'phuabo, its Auto Regen is reduced to a much more manageable level, and it summons only Ru'phuabo for the remainder of the fight.
o Astral Flow causes all of its helpers to immediately perform the same TP attack. Astral Flow can be used more than once.
o Only 9 Qn'xzomit and 9 Qn'hpemde can be summoned. Ru'phuabo (Sharks) are unlimited.
o Once it is only summoning Ru'phuabo, two of the summons can be pulled apart and held, so that JoL only summons one at a time.
• Elemental weakness changes periodically, accompanied by the 2-hour "dust cloud" animation. It will only cast one element's spells at a time. Casts Tier IV nukes, Tier III ga nukes, and various -ga offensive enfeeble and dark magic spells. Nuking or Skillchaining it with its strong element will heal it.
o Enfeeble's range is larger than Tier3 nukes.
• A few seconds after it dies, Absolute Virtue has a chance of popping.

To sum up the NM's popping process, Kaoz (Unicorn) made a very nice flowchart ^_^

Absolute Virtue

With regard to Lumoria NM drops...

The weapon drops from the 7 Jailers are 100% (ie Justice Sword, Fortitude Axe, etc)
The torque drops from the 7 Jailers are not 100%, about 40%-ish (ie Love Torque, Faith Torque, etc)
The virtue drops from the first 6 Jailers are 100%
The deed and vice drops from the Ix'Aerns are not 100%.

There are theories that the drop rate on the NMs vary depending on how you kill them, such as if you pop the HuXzoi Aern NM with only 1 or more HQ Aern organs, or if you kill Fortitude without killing his balls first. These are mainly theories with not much solid evidence to back them up.

The following items can be traded with Meret (Tavnazian Safehold Upper Floor @ J-Cool for various equipment.
You will have to complete the quest "In the Name of Science" with Yurim (next to Meret) before she will trade anything with you.
